Class Types
Vinyasa - All vinyasa classes will start with an intention-setting phase and end in final relaxation. But in between, the format, pace, and other aspects will deviate from class to class depending on the teacher. Class will focus on linking poses, or asanas, together with breath and a rhythmic flow.
Gentle Flow- yoga classes can take many forms, but typically, gentle classes use basic yoga poses in a slow, low-impact way. You might find yourself flowing from pose to pose. Or you might find yourself staying with one pose for a longer amount of time. Without a doubt, you will be stretching, breathing, and feeling rejuvenated when you walk out the door.
Yin Yoga- Targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, and joints. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.
Restorative Yoga- Restful practice that holds yoga poses (asanas) for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body and mind. Through the use of props for support, many of the postures are held almost effortlessly.
Morning Rise- Wake up with soothing stretches and movements to leave the body feeling ready to start the week. Gentle movements designed to release stiff morning muscles & joints. This class includes a blend of movement, stretches, maya fascia release and mindfulness. We close with a meditation for a complete mind-body practice.
Total Fitness -5 minute warm up, followed by a 45-minute fit workout with mixed with cardio, body weight & strength-based exercises. Finish your workout with 10 minutes of yin stretching & total relaxation to find total balance to your day. Enjoy fun music.
Strong Yoga- (30 minutes) Creative flowing sequences of poses designed to nourish and strengthen your body and spirit, with ample time to find alignment in your body. Fluidity in movement and breath are greatly emphasized in this vinyasa yoga class. (30 minutes) Sculpt - using lite weights and bands you will go through a full body workout.
Mat Pilates- Build core strength, flexibility, balance & control using your bodyweight for resistance. MAT PILATES is an effective form of low impact exercise that builds core strength, tones the entire body, improves flexibility and posture. This class focuses on stability, balance and control using your own bodyweight for resistance while adding progressions with simple props. PILATES challenges the mind and body by working in different planes of motion. Great for all ages, body types, and level of fitness.
Zumba- high-energy workout experience that involves a mixture of traditional Latin dance, such as salsa and mambo, and other styles, such as martial arts and belly dancing. Zumba classes are set to upbeat music and feature choreographed dances that you can follow along. You don’t need to be a great dancer to enjoy Zumba, as it is designed to be accessible and exciting for everyone.
